June 16: Weddings by David Blair
David Blair, a Louisville wedding photojournalist, loves using available light
as well as the occasional flash, when needed, to creatively capture events as
they happen and he enjoys finding unique angles and innovative ways of getting
the shot. On a wedding day, David can regularly be found up in a tree or lying
on the ground to get a different perspective. He also loves using wide open
apertures to achieve a shallow depth of field drawing attention to his subjects.
David Blair has a decade of local, regional and destination weddings at
most to the area's top venues under his belt. At the June meeting, David will
be sharing some of his tips and thoughts on wedding photography.

Apr. 21:
Guest Ken Kneringer - Studio K (Indianapolis)
<< One of the following topics >>
1) Making Your Online Presence Work For You
Ken will discuss the thought process necessary for successful
marketing and branding on the internet. While many think that
they are doing the right things, you may just be spinning your
wheels, wasting time, and quite possibly doing more damage than good!
Everyone knows that a website, blog, and face book are necessary
for today's environment , but most have little or no training in what
needs to happen for your online presence to truly matter to your
potential clients. Most leave their online presence to others, vendors
that are interested in selling websites - NOT in getting you business.
Ken will give you the information that you need to make intelligent
decisions on where to invest your time and money, what to put online
and more importantly what NOT to put online. He will show you techniques
that will get you noticed by the search engines for free, and that will
drive more potential clients to your site.
Contrary to the way it sounds - you won't need to be a technical
genius or a web designer to benefit from this program. Most of the
things that Ken will share are very simple to implement and almost
anyone can do them! This is a great opportunity to learn how to get
more clients from the internet - from the guy that has been number
one on google search for the last 6 years and has helped dozens of
other photographers get to the front page of the search engines.
2) Seniors The Studio K Way
Ken will discuss his senior business from start to finish. We will
share how he got started in 2002, and how he got to be one of the
top studios in the country in a very short time. Ken will share images,
work flow, marketing, prepping images for client viewing, and retouching
for the finished images. Ken will share where Studio K is headed this year,
what we are doing with our model programs, pricing structure, products
and web presence. Lots of great information, in a relaxed presentation
with plenty of time for questions or to cover specific interests.
Whether you're just starting out and considering getting into
the senior or wedding marketplace, or have been striving to build this
niche of your business, there's sure to be some new ideas, tips
and techniques shared YOU can start using to improve your business.
